All my life I have been a bigger girl - always possessing ‘too much’ to fit into anything that made me feel sexy/cute/beautiful underneath my clothes. Once I decided to make the all important lifestyle changes that have brought me to where I am today I found myself in search of underwear that could accommodate all the changes that were happening to my body but at the same time make me feel like the 22 year old confident, sexy/cute/beautiful person I knew I was. Discovering Her Apparel was a game changer for me, not only in the sense that I could fit what they were producing but how wearing their range made me feel.

This time last year I was involved in the #hergirlclub project, baring absolutely everything in a shoot I never expected I’d ever have the courage to do. At the time I had lost around 20 kilos, with a long way to go on my journey (mentally, emotionally, and physically) but standing in front of the cameras in only Her I was able to see past any doubts I’d previously had about myself or my body and take back what my insecurities had previously robbed be of - my true self. Now, almost a year later and another 30 kilos lost I am still wearing Her Apparel, and it always makes me feel as beautiful as ever.

I wanted to share an intimate insight of myself in the moments when I am alone, thinking, creating, and truly at ease with myself and my body. Wearing the Bonnie Bra and Cheekie I am comfortable, able to relax, and feel feminine and beautiful - for no one other than myself. I choose to wear the Her Apparel Bralettes because they support me and my body that’s still changing. It was so hard to go from a heavy DD cup to not being able to fill out any molded cup bra that I wanted - that’s why I’ll always reach for my Bralettes over anything else. Making the switch over to Her Apparel is something that went beyond standard consumerism and wanting to look pretty underneath my clothes to a complete lifestyle change and adjusting (positively) the attitude I had towards my body.
