My Beauty Essentials

I hope you all had a fabulous Christmas, This week i'm going to let you in on my beauty essentials and routine.

I actually am barefaced most of the time, I stopped wearing makeup daily around a year ago as I had enough confidence and I didn't want to clog my face up everyday, so now I just put makeup on for special occasions! 

Because I am fresh faced, I need good base products that will enhance my skin. I use Tailor Skincare's Mist to freshen up my face in the morning and awaken my senses.

I then tighten and firm my pores with a bee venom serum. I am currently using the by nature brand which leaves a slight stinging after application which was quite a shock at first! I then follow this up with Bali Body's Moisturiser which leaves my skin super hydrated which is key.

To get glowing skin and clean my pores I use a mud mask once to twice a week, I have been using the wild ferns tub ever since visiting a mud bath spa in Rotorua 3 years ago.

My signature scent is Chanel's Mademoiselle. Its flirty, feminine, and sweet. Mademoiselle was inspired by Coco's younger years so its quite appropriate while I am building my own empire.

When I do wear makeup i use a photo ready primer by Smashbox before a BB cream, I can't stand foundation anymore after using BB its so light on the skin but gives me the coverage I need while letting my skin breathe! 

To add dimension I use the sunkissed palette by NYX under my cheekbones and around the frame of my face and side of my nose, I then follow up with the Luminous highlighter by L.A girl on the bridge of my nose, high cheekbone and cupids bow.

I love the natural brow appreciation lately! To enhance and fill any gaps I use Smashbox's Brow Tech To Go in the shade Brunette. Then its time for my favorite beauty product - They're Real! Mascara by Benefit Cosmetics after curling my lashes for 20 seconds. I always coat both my upper and lower lashes and my #1 tip is make sure you wipe off the excess mascara with a damp cotton bud making sure you get the residue in the waterline for a clean look.

My one beauty weakness is lipsticks! I have naturally full lips so love to enhance them, most of my current go to's are a pink/nude shade.

For everyday I wear NYX Minimalism or Thalia. For meetings I wear Paparazzi also by NYX or Faux by MAC. Date night I stick with my husbands favorite, Candy K by Kylie Cosmetics - bonus that it is food and kissing proof!
